Mark Munson will provide you with vessels holding immense sacramental value. For instance, this vessel boasts of a long history, wherein, it was originally used for drinking, but later came to be used only as receptacle, for blessed sacraments. Many cultures around the world use the silver ciborium, as a container to hold the hosts sanctified to the Lord, as per the sacrament of the ‘Holy Communion.’ As far as the shape and design of the silver plated ciborium is concerned, there is strong resemblance with that of the chalice, only differing with respect to the fact that the bowl in the latter vessel is more conical. The vessel is named from its own cover, which is supported by a cross or any other design holding sacred value. During the age of the early church, Holy Communion was not held in the church. However, with the passage of time, there are special places where the silver ciboria are kept in the church: such as the aumbry or even the tabernacle. There are also instances where the vessel is veiled, so as to be indicative of the fact that there reside the sanctified hosts. Nowadays, the silver plated ciborium are used at homes, to be able to be used during the Last Rites.

Apart from ciboria, there are other vessels as well, that may be used for the same purpose: such as a scale-paten; or even a low bowl. The latter vessel is also known as a well-paten. However, largely, the use of these alternate vessels is limited to the Latin Rite. Other cultures and beliefs may also use a basin and a pyx box; apart from the paten already mentioned. The box is essentially a small structure that will be circular in shape; they are majorly used to bring the communion to the sick.
Among the other services that are offered by the company, are repair as well as restoration of the silver ciboria already in possession; and you may contact the company, if you wish to have them repaired. You may also contact the company if you are in need of a wafer box, a pyx box or even pectoral rings; apart from the cruets, the bishop’s rings, candlesticks; crosses as well as crucifixes. Other articles include Font Ewers and Flagons, lavabo bowls as well as jugs; sanctuary-lamps, monstrances and tabernacles and thuribles.

Apart from the restoration and repair of the ciboria, the company would also be able to assist you with the task of commissioning a new silver ciborium, a new silver plated ciborium or a gold plated ciborium.
